OK, so I did a fresh install of Ubuntu 12.04 and completed all updates. I updated to the latest stable kernel. (I think it was 3.5.6, but don't quote me on it) I installed Gnome and the extensions. I did have it working and working well for a few days and then I needed root privileges for a task. As soon as I entered the root command my Gnome desktop went haywire.
OK, I think we're going to go with python and pygame. One last question, I started my son on BASIC-256 because of this article.http://www.salon.com/2006/09/14/basic_2/Do you folks think these ideas have merit or should I switch my son over to python right away?
Well this my first own post on General Section
I am sharing how to use the (ADB)
which seem many of us should have some basic on it :)
(FASTBOOT) will be added later on.

Is a proper way to tell what wrong's and bug you encountered by a log
The latest incarnation of the GNOME desktop, version 3. has been out for a while. I'm one of those who is late to the party, one at which there have been very few compliments and loads and loads of complaints. At times, when you get something free, you tend not to value it.
I wonder if it is possible to use a fallback driver for a synaptics touchpad instead of the synaptics driver. I have a weird problem with my touchpad (Acer TravelMate 6292), and I want to check this option out.
Under Windows (XP, Vista, 7)the generic driver works, while the synaptics driver freezes the system. I would like to try out whether the same holds under linux.
