http://www.gnome.org – We're closing in on our goal of $20,000 for our accessibility campaign. If you haven't already, take a look at the testimonial by Diego Sánchez that we've been lucky to include. As Diego says, GNOME 3 has really helped him: "I'm happy because I can now use the computer in my classroom without any assistance." Our accessibility team's work has made a big difference in many people's lives, but we still have a long way to go. Help us make our goal and donate now via our Friends of GNOME program! (Software)

Accessibility for computer users with disabilities is one of the noblest goals for Linux and open source software. Vinux, Orca, and Gnome lead the way in Linux accessibility.

In the last release team meeting we've accepted the Python 3 porting goal for GNOME 3.8. https://live.gnome.org/GnomeGoals/Python3Porting

Meaning: During development phase of GNOME 3.8 (3.7.x) we will depend on Python 3.

Maintainers/developers: Please visit above URL and assist with the porting.

In the month of June we raised $1,585, for a total of $18,953 since January 1, 2009. We’ve almost reached our goal of $20,000 for 2009! However, donations in June were down significantly.

The Gnome documentation team will hold a team meeting this Sunday the 10th at 18:00 UTC. We will discuss Mallard page templates, the accessibility documentation, and plans for projectmallard.org, plus anything else that people want to discuss.  Feel free to add to the agenda on the wiki.
