Things should be working as outlined in the wiki: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Sy … managementIf you think it's important, you can add a line about halt, although it's already mentioned in systemd FAQ https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Sy … r_stays_onThere's also https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Al … o_ShutdownObviously you can use an alias e.g.alias halt='sudo sy
There is no fix as far as I know. This might be this issue https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=157263The brightness can still be controllable when you add this parameter. I prefer this way, tapping once at the bightness keys isn't so hard after suspend.

hi everyone, I have a little problem with my laptop.this is the way I suspend my laptop: I open a terminal and type "sudo pm-utils", suspends perfect, then I push the power button, everything resumes fine, but if I don't stop kill the pm-suspend command (ctrl + c) the laptop go to suspend again. there is a way to avoid this?

Hi everyone.I have built an extension for gnome-shell to manage the radeons' power profile. It should work on every radeon using the open source drivers, and supports multiple card setups. You can find the source here:https://github.com/StuntsPT/shell-exten … le-managerThe extension here:https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/ … e-manager/Or even an AUR package here:https://aur.archlinux.org/pa
Hi there! To my knowledge, those options were removed from gnome-settings, and from gnome-tweak-tool as well, because Gnome 3.8 no longer handles lid close behaviour. As far as I am aware of, you can work around this issue by modifying your logind.conf (/etc/systemd/logind.conf) to your needs instead. See comments 51 and 52 here.
First, make sure you have dbus in your DAEMONS array in /etc/rc.conf. Are you using GDM to login? If you are using ~/.xinitrc to start gnome, make sure you start gnome like this: exec ck-launch-session gnome-sessionAlso. do you have gnome-power-manager installed?# pacman -S gnome-power-manager

that doesn't explain why it freezes. in case of power supply laptop should be dead or reboot itself, not freeze
