https://bbs.archlinux.org – I had the same issue, but I solved it in the following way:I have backed up the file gtk.css in /usr/share/themes/Adwaita/gtk-3.0 into gtk.css.back (in case something goes wrong);I copied the file gtk-dark.css to gtk.css;I backed up the file gtkrc in /usr/share/themes/Adwaita/gtk-2.0 into gtkrc.back (just in case);I opened the file gtkrc and pasted a code similar to the one I include below. Notice that I changed the background color to match that of the dark adwaita gtk, though the previous one was very similar:# Color scheme originally contributed by Franco Gotusso as Clearlooks-DarkOrange # (HowTos)

I have set the dark variation of Adwaita to be used for all apps via gnome tweak tool and it looks great. Unfortunately, there is one app that doesn't follow the theme and stands out like a sore thumb: Google Chrome.

Any way to get Chrome to use the theme or anyone know of any Chrome themes to match it?

Default Gnome Shell's Adwaita theme since Gnome 3.2 has 2 variants: light and dark, and Totem and Eog use dark variant. Can I add some apps like Gimp or Blender to use dark variant?

Ubuntu 12.04, 64bit, Gnome Classic.

Is there a way to tweak (gtk3) Adwaita and give it menu borders?

Please note that this question follows extensive googling, extensive trial and error:

(1) All links older than April 2012 are obsolete and useless.

(2) The files gtk-main.css and gtk-widgets.css do not exist any longer. They are now part of a binary file.

I would like to get rid of the darkening of the desktop that occurs when you hit the super key or move the mouse cursor to the corner of the screen in Gnome Shell. I would also like to change the black bar up top to match the Adwaita color scheme. Is there an easy way to modify this?

I changed my GDM wallpaper manually in gnome 3.2, I had previously tried the mentioned fixes but they didnt seem to work for me, GDM3setup included, although it was able to change my icons, fonts, and cursor theme.

Since updating from current+Robby's xorg patches to Pat's latest current update this morning I've found that my gtk2 theme doesn't seem to be working any more.

I have changed the tooltip background color by changing the appearance theme from Ambiance to Adwaita.

I'm using Eclipse 3.6 for coding tasks. Now, when I use the command statement completion I see a tooltip that looks like this:

I am on ubuntu 12.04, using the unity3d desktop.

I searched for the ~/.gkrc* files and I searched in the /usr/share/themes/ folder... didn't find anything
