Javier Jardón Cabezas from the GNOME Release Team announced a couple of days ago that the second development release of the upcoming GNOME 3.10 desktop environment is ready for download and testing. This is the first release of the GNOME desktop environment without any GConf dependency, which means that the team did a great job cleaning up the code.
