Today I was trying to connect my second monitor to my notebook.
Whenever I come to work I type
xrandr --auto
xrandr --output VGA1 --right-of LVDS1
This gets my second display working, however now I get
xrandr: cannot find crtc for output VGA1
For reference here is the output of xrandr,
Screen 0: minimum 320 x 200, current 3286 x 1080, maximum 8192 x 8192
LVDS1 connected 1366x768+1920+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 277mm x 156mm

I have a laptop, and i whant 1366*768 resolution.

Hi, I'm having a little problem, and I couldn't find the answer in other post I've read.
I have an Acer Laptop with an ATI Radeon HD 3200 on-board graphic card.
The best resolution for the notebook is 1366x768, since any other looks blured.
The issue:
Hey,
I frequently use my laptop with a dual monitor or projector, so I hope somebody can help me here. In alpha 1, I used to be able to control a second display with xrandr very easily. In alpha 2, something goes wrong. Whenever I activate the second display, using either xrandr at the command line, or grandr, I get an almost completely unresponsive system.
I am not sure what setting to change for this but I open games like Dungeon Crawl or a Steam game and the game wants to take up both screens. Is there a way to have the game open just on one screen xrandr shows this.
xrandr or nvidia driver seems to be report the wrong display resolutions. Even though on boot my screens are at native resolution, all programs the query for available resolutions will only find up to 1024x768.
