Just curious, how would I go about setting my HTC ONE stock email app to work with gmail push. Currently, i can only recieve gmail if i open up the stock email app. Thanks much.
This is my first android phone, SPrint Galaxy Note 2. My Google Account thus the play store email address is not associated with any gmail email, and I do have a few gmail accounts I want to put in to the stock gmail app. Problem is when I try to start the stock gmail app, it wants to automatically attach to my Google Account email.
I just learned that the native email app on the s4 now does push for Gmail settings like the regular gmail app. I love it because I can now delete emails in groups rather than having to tap them individually. I know this is small to some but I love it!
Finally got my sgs3 ..moved from iPhone after 7 yrs!!
So obviously trying to learn android. The stock email app works fine for my gmail..but for my iCloud email account it doesn't support push. I need the email delivered instantly to my inbox similar to gmail or Microsoft exchange.
Tried other alternates like k9 mail. It seem to work ok for iCloud but the interface is not very nice.
I tried searching this problem on Google but the only solution that I came across was by either browsing gmail in classic or desktop mode on stock browser. I can't seem to delete gmail email in mobile version. when I press the recycle bin icon to delete an email, the icon turns blue to indicate that it has been pressed, but then it doesnt reload the page or delete anything. it just hangs..
On my HTC EVO 4G LTE phone, I was able to setup the HTC email app to treat my Gmail account as a ActiveSync Exchange account and push my email (i.e., it arrives immediately when received by the Google email servers). I used the server name of "m.google.com", user name of "[email protected]", etc.
