Use case: I have one android tablet, one PC, several email addresses and several chat accounts.
When I'm on my PC I prefer to check email and chat on my PC.
When I'm on the move, I need to do that on my tablet.
My point is: I need the notifications when I'm outside, but I hate to be notified twice (by the PC and by the tablet) when I am at my PC.
Is it possible there isn't an app/widget
GMail 18 weeks 10 hours ago When I log into Gmail on a computer and move a message from the inbox into a folder it does not change on my phone. How can I get the phone to sync with my account to mirror the inbox?
I have IMAP Gmail account that uses something like Gmail-IMAP/Trash for Wastebasket but Evolution uses Wastebasket -dir by default. Alert terminology differs: directory is label in Gmail -terminology, anyway now clear enough. So how can I change the Trash -directory in Evolution?

I believe the problem lies in IMAP and different email-clients.
:confused:
I have a Galaxy Tablet 10.1 and a Galaxy S111 smart phone, both running Jellybean 4.2.1. with my email account set up on both devices, but that is where the similarities end. My question refers to the way the tablet behaves when trying to check back on sent emails, I assume they are somewhere on the tablet but cannot find them.
How can I get mails from Sent Mail folder of gmail? I can get mails from inbox using
store = imapSession.getStore("imaps");
store.connect("imap.gmail.com", user, password);
Folder folder = store.getFolder("Inbox");
I have tried,
Folder folder = store.getFolder("Sent");
//and
Folder folder = store.getFolder("AllMail");
but none of this is working, I'm getting a FolderNotFoundException.
I checked my gmail sync and also google account sync and check the sync on gmail. But why when emails are coming, emails are not pushed to the galaxy tab immediately? I have to sync manually in order to know new emails. My PC desktop outlook notifies me immediately.
I think the gmail app will notify users as email arrives at the very same moment, right?
This is my first android phone, SPrint Galaxy Note 2. My Google Account thus the play store email address is not associated with any gmail email, and I do have a few gmail accounts I want to put in to the stock gmail app. Problem is when I try to start the stock gmail app, it wants to automatically attach to my Google Account email.
Can I delete the app and re-install?
I got mutt up and working with GMail in 12.04LTS. One issue I have is when I delete a message, it get placed in the GMail Trash folder, but the inbox label is not removed. Is there a way to fix this?
Finally got my sgs3 ..moved from iPhone after 7 yrs!!
So obviously trying to learn android. The stock email app works fine for my gmail..but for my iCloud email account it doesn't support push. I need the email delivered instantly to my inbox similar to gmail or Microsoft exchange.
Tried other alternates like k9 mail. It seem to work ok for iCloud but the interface is not very nice.
