I'm running Ubuntu 13.10 desktop. I installed ejabberd. I'm trying to edit the /etc/ejabberd/ejabberd.cfg file, but get 'permission denied' even though my id is in both the root and ejabberd user groups.
What am I missing?
Thank you in advance for any help with this issue.
I am trying to setup ejabberd that authenticates users against an LDAP server. The LDAP server requires all clients to connect via StartTLS (olcSecurity: tls=1). ejabberd's LDAP module does not support StartTLS. So I am wondering how to get this setup to work.
The only solution I have right now is to setup an LDAP proxy using the slapd-ldap backend on the same machine running ejabberd.
