When I bootup my fedora 20 box, the hplip popup a dialog ask for package update, and I press ok, now it updated, and need a hp-plugin for the printer to work, also I pressed ok
then after a while it gave me an error says "gpg command not found" and stoped.
I goto download the packages and try to do a manual upgrade, but I don't know how to do with the *run.*asc file, need help.
Hi, This morning I had a pop up box on my computer from "HP Upgrade Manager" which said: "Latest version of HPLIP 3.12.9 is available" and asking if I want it installed.
I'm running on Lucid 10.04 LTS.
The hplip-3.13.8/1 from the Wed Aug 21 21:26:58 UTC 2013 updates shows the same longish hiccup at start as hplip-3.13.5/1 did - see //http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/slackware-14/current-udev-problem-with-hplip-3-13-5-1-a-4175463005/ for details.
As it turns out /lib/udev/rules.d/56-hpmud.rules still needs the backgrounding *) as depicted in timkb4cq's May 31, 2013 post for that thread.
