we plan to establich a network (more 200 computers). Some experts advice to create a VLAN and not make all of the in one domain to speed up the performance.

Is any one tried this VLAN? Is it nessary to be through IP Address or can be done through other way ?

Just a short Tutorial today. It’s surprising how many people do not know this. To change the hostname under Linux, open a terminal window. Type the following code. sudo nano /etc/hosts and change the text to your new hostname. Changes will take effect on Restart.
