Tonight in New York, Lenovo introduced two brand new tablet/laptop hybrids under the name of IdeaPad Yoga. Those two devices will be Windows 8 powered. Two screen sizes are available, 11″ and 13″.
Considering an upgrade to Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 13.3 and looking for your thoughts
Everything about the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 is wonderful except SCREEN SIZE for my tired eyes. These two products are in different catagories and the Yoga is twice the price of the Note :-$, plus the operating systems are obviously different (Android fans be kind ).
Lenovo is apparently not convinced of the post-PC lingo, with its latest series of announcements. The good old ThinkPad brand is used once again for another model, the ThinkPad Twist. It is a 12.5″ tablet/laptop hybrid powered by a third-generation Intel Core i7 processor.
The mechanism is different from the IdeaPad Yoga models.

I'm planning to buy a new laptop and I would like to use Ubuntu as my OS. I've zoomed in on this Lenovo:
Model: B580
Specs:
Intel Core i5-3210M,(Dual-Core), 3 MB Cache
4(+4) GB RAM,
Intel HM77 Express Chipset,
Intel HD 4000 Graphic Card,
1 TB hard-drive.
This laptop comes with Windows 8 pre-installed.
YouTube makes it easy to find instructional videos on practically any topic. There are 18,600,000 search results for “how to” on the site at the moment. Obviously not all of them are relevant, but that’s a staggering number.
Lenovo’s new 7-inch tablet made a showing at the FCC recently with a filing appearing online today. From what we see, the device goes by the model number A2107A and falls into Lenovo’s IdeaPad line. It features a 7-inch display sporting a 1024×600 resolution, a 1GHz CPU, 1GB of RAM and a 2MP camera.
I am looking for a new laptop and I was wondering if any of you could help me.
I need a laptop with:
Needs to have at least a core i5 processor
Needs to have a Intel HD 4000 integrated Graphics card
Needs to be moderately slim, I don't want it to be ultrabook slim but I also don't want it to be extremely thick either (probably something like the Macbook Pro Retina 15")
Needs at least
Hi, I installed Ubuntu 13.04 on my Lenovo yoga. The wired thing is that the touchscreen works quite well for several seconds after ubuntu is just booted but then clicking on the touchscreen does not work after that. I saw a bug report here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+s...y/+bug/1099289. But not sure if anyone met similar problems and have solved it?
