The taskbar can be made invisible, but if one clicks on it, programs will still be selected. Any way to disable the taskbar in tint2?Just want a semi-transparent bar with systray and time. Also can time placement be finely changed? Thanks
Hi, I have an LG Enlighten and by mistake, I dragged the icon for Polaris Viewer to the bottom taskbar, and it went on top of the message icon and I can't remove it at all. I tried dragging it down to the garbage but it won't budge.
I've removed an icon before from that bottom taskbar, but I just can't remember how I did it.
dura wrote:Some conky edits (namely borrowing a .conkyrc from somewhere) can occasionally stop tint2 running I've found. Just stick tint2 & at the bottom of your autostart.sh and see if that makes a difference. The question is, how is conky setup related to tint2. What does it changes, that is essential for tint2 startup?
Hello,
I have a problem with the taskbar (window list) in LXDE (latest Lubuntu release).
The window list doesn't expand to the full height of the taskbar, meaning that when my mouse cursor is at the very bottom of the screen i can't switch windows.
Here are 2 screenshots to illustrate the problem:
The cursor is at the very bottom of the screen, note how the panel is not active

Hi!I would like some help with a few things:
Dear all,
I have just performed a clean install of Ubuntu 13.04, and installed gnome-shell.
What are my taskbar options for this version? In 12.04 and 12.10, I have been happy with tint2, but it now longer appears to work, It does not appear on the desktop and lists the following when manually run in a terminal:
Code:
damien@damien-desktop:~$ tint2
real transparency on...
This is in rc.xml not tint2 I think.
I've got 12.04 running pretty well now and am ready to pull the plug on 11.04. I have a couple questions I hope someone can answer.
KDE with the taskbar at the bottom....
When I have programs running like Firefox and Thunderbird, they do not appear in the taskbar.
