view story

http://www.linuxquestions.org – First post:) I know it's been asked before and is fairly well documented but I have tried many online solutions and none seem to work. Its backtrack 5 R1,GNOME 64 iso. /etc/init.d/networking start: gives me networking stop/waiting. ifconfig: gives me eth0 and an address,17 trx errors,inet6 addr etc(can't seem to put snapshots up here). It also gives lo with typical info,, subnet mask /etc/init.d/wicd start: gives me Starting Networkin connection manager wicd. wicd network manager: Finds no wireless networks.(My wireless interface default is wlan0.) dhclient:listening (HowTos)
