In a fresh installed or upgraded Ubuntu, first thing to do is install flash plugin for web browser to enjoy flash videos. As a beginner, we use Ubuntu Software Center to search and install applications.
In Ubuntu 11.10, the Ubuntu Software Center shows two: Adobe Flash Plugin 10 and Adobe Flash Plugin. I selected Adobe Flash Plugin 10.
I was having an issue with my flash player, so I tried to uninstall and reinstall it.
I know this has been posted before (for 5R1 anyway) but this appears to be a new and different problem.
I followed the instructions for installing the latest Adobe Flash 11.2 64 bit listed elsewhere in the Forums and FAQs. I also tried using nspluginwrapper with earlier versions of Flash. No plugins are ever recognized by Firefox.
After a fresh Ubuntu installation, one of the important things is to install the flash plugin for watching videos via web browser.
For 32-bit, search and install flash plugin in Ubuntu Software Center.
For 64-bit, download .tar.gz from the official site. click here and select “.tar.gz for other Linux”.
Hello yall!
Pretty new to Linux so a lot of the commands are extremely alien to me, using Fedora 12, and I am just about 3 days into learning Linux.
I am trying to install flash plugin from the main site on FedoraProject, when I do the following command
Code:
su -c 'yum install flash-plugin nspluginwrapper.x86_64 \
There will always be a lot of things to do after a fresh Ubuntu installation. Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail was scheduled to be released on April 25th. Now it’s still in beta and alpha stage, which means it’s not fully stable and may contain bugs and issues.
I have the ubuntu adobe flash player plugin from the software centre.. and By the way i am on ubuntu 10.10 since this computer can't handle the newer ubuntu.. :|. I'm wondering how do i do a clean install of the flash player plugin? I know to uninstall it but is there a profile folder that it is in that i should delete after the sudo apt-get remove of it?
I like the browser Epiphany (now Web or something).
I also hate Flash and I heard about Gnash, its free alternative.
All I want to do is to set up Epiphany somehow to use Gnash on YouTube. I can't get that to work.
I have installed browser-plugin-gnash, but it doesn't do anything. I have plug-ins enabled in Epiphany.
Though the Software center is showing that "Adobe Flash Plugin" is installed in my computer, which is a Compaq Presario c700 running Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, yet some websites like www.youtube.com is prompting me to download Adobe Flash Plugin to view online streaming.
PS: I have the latest version of Adobe Flash Plugin
