I not sure if this has anything to do with the root!! HTC thunderbolt 2.3.4
i rooted my htc thunderbolt a few months ago.. the last few days ive had issues with my phone shutting off while im using it(with full charge). it does it every time. if your on the phone for more then 2 minutes it will shut off. if you turn it on right after it shuts off it will show the battery at 3-14%.
I currently have a rooted Thunderbolt which overall I have liked a lot, but my contract is almost up and I'm ready to get my hands on something new. I haven't really paid much attention to what is out right now and what is coming soon, and I figured here would be the best place to get some recommendations.
Looking for some recommendations. I currently have a thunderbolt on Verizon. Time for an upgrade and can't really decide. The top phones I was looking at was the droid dna, razor maxx hd or the s3/s4.
I really don't like the larger sizes of the new phones. The size of the thunderbolt is perfect. Of the ones listed above, I think I'm leaning towards the razor just for the battery life.

Something is wrong with my thunderbolt. Before I started working about a month ago, my thunderbolt would last the entire day without a charge, even if I used it often during the day, but now my phone barley makes it to 2 o'clock, even with the phone using the least amount of power possible.
Could someone please help me.
Haha. This morning I realized I plugged in my phone last night but the plug wasn't plugged into the outlet. Coming from the Thunderbolt, I panicked a little. But realized the battery on this phone is awesome!
See screenshot. Granted, I didn't use my phone as much as I normally do yesterday.
Partly thanks to Verizon Wireless' 4G LTE network, HTC's Thunderbolt is the fastest phone eWEEK has tested. The $250 price for the Android 2.2 phone is high, and HTC and Verizon need to work on extending battery life, but users who have access to Verizon's 4G network will be sorely tempted by the Thunderbolt's speed, big screen, and nicely tuned eight-megapixel camera, says this eWEEK review....
Currently the phone is $130 something on Boost's website- it's black friday, I wanted to buy my mother a new phone. Her birthday is coming up, and what better way to have her leave her crappy basic phone ?
Now I do have on primary concern, battery life. With a ROM installed. Is battery life ever an issue ?
SO here is what happened:
My phone was working totally fine. The battery was running low (red indicator) so i didnt do anything, just put the phone back in my pocket till i got home (which was only like 15 mins since i last checked). When i get home, the screen is black "okay the battery died" i thought to myself. stick the phone in the charger, nothing happens.
