I am using a Sony Vaio laptop that originally came with a Windows 8 operating system. I removed it entirely and replaced it with Ubuntu 12.10. It seems to me that the WiFi is temperamental. I can restart my laptop multiple times and have the laptop attempt to connect to the wireless Internet to no avail. Other times, I start the laptop and the wireless connects seamlessly.
Hey guys,
So I managed to install clockworkmod, and rooted by stock rom with superadmin. I installed Wifi Tether for root phones, it works perfectly. I ran across some issues though. There is something strange happening.
Hi all I'm hoping you can help me.
I have the R800a model of the Xperia Play, running 2.3.4, stock standard and not rooted.
I'm experiencing some very strange behaviour when I turn on wifi hotspot tethering on my phone. When I do, it seems some 3G functionality in the phone is lost.
Greetings to all you One S owners.
Can someone help me with a small problem. I cannot get the One S to act as a WiFi Hotspot. Knowing me I'm doing something wrong, so any advice would be much appreciated as I need to use the hotspot with my laptop. This is what I am doing.

Hello,
After installing I9300XXDLIx updates, anyone having issues with WiFi in a network where multiple routers have same SSIDs? At home my WiFi connects to internet without any issues and when I come to office where we have multiple routers with same name, I face internet connectivity issues. Other phones works perfectly well in this environment.
Note: this question is distinct from "How to disable automatically connecting to WiFi?", as I do not wish to disable automatic WiFi connection in general.
Problem: The Ubuntu WiFi module connects automatically in priority with WiFi networks without a password, even if there is a already known password-protected WiFi network nearby.
Hi there,
