The note 8.0 has bug with the shipped JB 4.1.2 firmware. It can not use LEAP protocol to connect the wifi even if you have the correct configuration. I googled for a while and detect the problem on Note 8 is with the broadcom firmware.
I'm wondering if anybody in the US is on the new firmware yet. Go to about your device and see if you are on XXU1ANJ4. Mine is still on XXXXANI1. There were articles that the new firmware should help with battery drain.
I've been searching on how to root my note 3 N900, but the videos said that it only works on a specific type of model/firmware version. I have the N900UBUENH1, will I be able to root using this method: http://www.galaxynote3update.com/roo...itkat-updates/ ? I have Android 4.4.2. I searched up my firmware version and it's not very common. Could my phone be fake?
MY sister called ATt to unlock her phone when she went abroad, they did. Now she no longer has ATT and is with tmobile. Using the Tmobile sim card, she can't seem to upgrade her OS using the firmware update option in settings. How can she go about upgrading?
hello guys, im new to this forum.and first time user of note 3, i have couple of questions regarding installing new firmwares and rooting.
i had S3 before this and installing new firmware was not a problem and roooting as well no problem at all, i know when rooting it increases flash count, i want to know what will happen if i root note 3 using auto cf root?
So I'm still using 4.3 Jelly Bean that came with my Note 3. After hearing all those issues on Kitkat, I have decided to still upgrade my phone, hoping nothing will go wrong. I was wondering what the differences are between OTA updates, Kies3 updates, Kies via Wifi updates etc? My Note 3 is as it was the day I bought it; no root, no customizations.
