http://androidforums.com – I'm not receiving any text messages from people that are texting me, but I am receiving my own text messages if i text myself. I did just have this phone activated yesterday and I ported the number, the process was complete before 11:00 am cst, does it take longer than 24 hours for all the metropcs functions to work on my phone or is there a setting on my phone that needs to be adjusted? (General)

Hey guys, I recently discovered that i havent been receiving text messages at all. I have tried using different sms handlers such as stock sms and go sms apps. I can send messages but not receive them

I am running the Ultimatum rom using the kt747 sammy kernel on a Rogers-based phone.

I checked the CSC number by dialing *#1234# and this is what was listed

AP: i747UCALEM CP: I747MVL

I have had intermittent problems with receiving texts and calls since day one of getting my first Android device from AT&T over a year ago. About every few weeks or so, text messages I receive will be delayed by 4+ hours from when the sender sent them until suddenly my phone alerts me to a ton of messages all at the same time.

Anyone have trouble sending or receiving text messages? All of a sudden yesterday my phone stopped being able to send or receive them. I didn't install anything new (that I can recall) and I've updated the PRL and Profile.

My phone can not receive text message from some poeple...I can text them, but they can't text me. I've already upgraded the software and confirmed that this person wasn't on the phone's blacklist, and still, no text messages from him! What do I do? Please help :(

Hi, I have over 3,000 text messages on my phone, and I need a decently quickly way to delete them. I've seen a few other posts on here about this topic, but everything everyone has said isn't working for my phone. I've tried downloading the SMS Backup & Restore app; it was working fine while backing up my text messages, but now I'm trying to delete them all, and it is taking FOREVER.

Can't receive text messages 20 weeks 3 days ago

I have an international Note 2 (N7100) that I use on AT&T. Sometime within the last day or two the phone stopped receiving text messages, although it still has no problem sending them. I've tried all the easy stuff: restarting, reseating the SIM, using a different messaging app. So far no luck. Any ideas?

Anyways, can any one help me. I updated to jelly bean OTA, and since then my LGOG does not like to send text messages out. No problem receiving them, just more often then not i get a failed sent. I have tried resetting the phone hard/soft. I took my phone into sprint and they said I need a new phone. Wtf!

Text Messages in Call Log 37 weeks 5 days ago

I'm on rooted new ota. Ever since the update my text messages are showing in call log. When I select the view by option and change it to all calls it works for a while and then reverts back to showing text messages as well. I've searched but haven't found any solution. Is the a mod or other answer. Also, how do you kill the action where the screen turns on when receiving a text?
