My app has rotation locked to portrait for phones and tablets below 10" and landscape for 10". The setting works well but for the Nexus 7 we have the "Rotation Locking/Auto Rotate" feature (accessible from the quick pull down menu).
If I turn the Nexus 7 upside down and lock rotation from the menu. My app behaves improperly.
When Google released the Nexus 7, many people were a bit surprised and annoyed that the home screen was locked to portrait mode, though other apps would rotate into either portrait or landscape as needed.
Hey All. This new firmware has introduced a screen rotation bug to our Note 2's. Basically the screen will fail to rotate from portrait to landscape without warning and can only be fixed by rebooting the phone. No fix is currently available and no cause has been determined. You can follow the thread about it here: Does anyone else have a problem where screen rotation stops working?
hi...just upgraded my nexus 7 to 4.1.2...its great to have landscape rotation on home screen but found a small bug.. .when switching on from stand by to get the clock and slide to open screen...when in landscape, the clock sometimes does not show all the digits. ..ex. 11.45 shows only 11.4.....anyone got this problem or knows how to fix it?
I would like to be able to rotate my home screens and lock screen to landscape mode. I've tried Ultimate Rotation Control, but it squishes my clock/weather widget, cuts off 1 of the 5 apps in the system tray and displays only half of the lock screen image.
So, how can I get true rotation of the home and lock screens while scaling widgets and lock screen image properly?
Since I updated my nexus 7 2013 to Android 4.4.2 I have an issue where my screen rotation is locked without any way to return it to normal (even after turning on/off the auto lock feature). Not sure if this is happening to a lot of people out there, but the only way to fix it is to turn the tablet off for a few seconds and turn it back on.
I installed the heatshiver ROM on my verizon G2 and I got a rotation problem where any apps I opened would be forced into landscape mode no matter what.
I wiped and then restored my phone to a nandroid backup and I still have this rotation issue even though it didn't exist on the backup. (The backup that I restored it to never had this issue with rotation).
