I use my Note II in my truck every day by hooking it up via bluetooth to a Motorola Roadster 2. I can NEVER get the Google Now voice search or the voice text to work while connected to bluetooth. It always just says initializing....
As soon as I disconnect the phone it works fine.
Any way to get this to work properly? Anyone else have this problem?
I have my S3 connected to my car (Ford Mondeo 09) via bluetooth, which supports A2DP.
When I am streaming music from my S3 the google nav voice comes through the car speakers, but the problem is the music is not muted so the voice is trying to talk over the music and I cant hear the commands.
Does anybody know if there a way I can get the music to pause/fade whilst the nav commands are read plea
When connected with a Bluetooth headset all voice to text functions do not work. When trying to access Google now, The phone seems to be stuck initializing. When using the voice for text messaging I have the same issue.
I have found the following solutions.
1. If you are running an audio program. The Voice functions will pause the audio and work as expected.
2.
Just recently bought a Bluetooth Headset for my Motorcycle Helmet, I'm on ICS right now, SCV7. The problem I'm finding is that no matter which voice commands app I use (Vlingo, utter, Skyvi, Voice Search) I can't seem to get it to use the headset's mic to listen to me!
But whenever I take a call the microphone works just fine.
Is it normal that voice guidance doesn't work when Bluetooth is enabled? It doesn't on my Galaxy S3 and I have Voice turned on in the settings menu.
It took me days to figure out why I could hear sounds for everything but not Navigation when in the car.
I was wondering if I could just disable offline voice typing. I am always connected to wifi/data and I never use offline voice typing because its so finicky and inaccurate. I see a 22 megabyte offline file for English voice typing was automatically download when I got jelly bean. I can't find where it is and I'd like to delete it if that could at least force live voice typing to always use data.
I had been using Google Voice but decided I'd like to try the updated standard Sprint Voice Mail again.
How do I change the settings so I receive messages on my phone thru the Sprint voice mail?
I have uninstalled Google Voice; however, when I call in I still hear my old Google greeting so obviously any message is being left in the Google Voice program.
Thanks,
Steve
I have tried 4 or 5 bluetooth headsets for GrooveIP / Skype / Vonage voice calls over wifi and I get horrible sounds that I could only describe as what you would expect if the call was connected through loosely connected high voltage line. It isn't just a minor background sound. It is extremely loud and this "sparky" sound overwhelms any other sound.
I have done some research but with no anvil. Is their away to replace S-voice with Google now? For voice dialing over bluetooth in my car and every other aspect?
I could find a how to for ICS unlocked phones but this is the ATT (stock) not rooted currently.
Thanks in advance!
