I would like to ask my Android Forum friends about the major differences being rooted or not rooted. Is rooting necessary at all? If yes, then what are all we can do with a rooted phone.
I followed MetroPrime's instructions and rooted my phone. Now I want to unroot it and then use a different method to root my phone. (I suspect his rooting method/batch file is causing USB connection problem.)

Hi I'm new here. I just have some questions. I just bought a rooted Samsung Transform and I want to flash it to Crickets service. The only problem I'm having is trying to figure out if Rooting is unlocking and if its not how to unlock a rooted phone and then how to flash it. My head's a little spinny so can anyone help me out?
My real question is if I root do I have to buy paid apps to get the most out of my rooted phone? I looked and didn't see if it was required. A list of the best apps for rooted phones would be nice this will be my first time rooting a phone.
Thanks for any tips and suggestions.
Sent from my verizon Galaxy s3.
I use the First data Mobile Pay app to run credit cards for my business. Unfortunately after rooting the phone it will not run. a message pops up stating that it can not be used when rooted.
Is there any way I can run the app without un-rooting my phone??
Thanks,
Paul
Hi all, having a problem rooting my inspire 4g, when in Fastboot , it shows the phone is S-OFF but I have no root access.
I used the root checker app, and it says that my device is not rooted. I then used EasyAceRootTool, but when I select to root
my device, it says that ''the hboot needs to be updated'' and it then starts a download from HTCDEV.
Hello All,
I'm new to Android rooting (but am an experienced iOS jailbreaker).
I got a Samsung Galaxy S3 (Verizon) yesterday which got the over-the-air update to 4.1.1. (Jelly Bean).
I'm a Mac user and found this guide to rooting the S3 on OSX: How to Root Galaxy S3 on Mac OSX!
Hi, I purchased a Samsung Galaxy S 2 from Sprint. I have learned that on XDA this phone is called Samsung Galaxy S 4G. I am not a pro when it comes to rooting phones but I come from a EVO that I had rooted and flashed many roms. However my Galaxy S 2 has me stumped! I rooted it and it has not worked the way it should. I cant get my GPS to work on any ROM I have flashed.
