why my phone cannot root and cannot unroot, then i flash to original 2.3.4 firmware, after that, Sony PC companion has a android update for live with walkman, after that, i update the phone, in the process of update phone, Sony PC companion say this is a modified version and cannot be updated. Then, it cancaeled.. Why??? WHat happen? I thought flash to original firmware is ok, but, WHY???

Hello..I'm new to android and this is my first android phone the note 2. After just 20 days I decided to root my phone and I rooted it with cwm on ubuntu linux. As I'm a newbie I didnt know I wont be able to update my phone after rooting. So I googled it and found about stock recovery and I did it through cwm recovery.

I have read that Android 4.2.2 is apparently being pushed to Nexus 4 :)
Now at the moment my phone is not rooted, if i update to Android 4.2.2 will i be able to root the phone?
Also, do i need to always need to flash a custom recovery image to get root access?
This is a unique situation so I wanted to make a new thread. I have the leaked version of 4.2.1 on my maxx. I did the SD card update because it wasn't pushed to my phone and I wanted it, I'm another thread people are saying that the official onewill be pushed to us anyway. As of today, my phone received the new OTA Update for my HTC One S. However, obviously I cannot update due to my phone being rooted. As a person who is still relatively new with rooting (about a month rooted with my phone-first time), I have a couple questions.

I d/l Android Commander, installed it on my laptop along with the Kyocera Hydro phone drivers. When I open Android Commander I can see every directory and file that ES File Explorer sees on the phones screen including the root and system directories. When I try to drag a sound file that I converted to the ogg format to the phone from my laptop. Android Commander says my phone is not rooted.
Hey, I'm a former iOS user that transferred over to the GS3 just about a month ago now and I'm wanting to root it.
I just really need some help on how to go about rooting the phone itself.
