I have strange battery status. previously with gingerbread my battery life normally around 18hrs. After update official OTA to ICS my atrix2 only last 8hrs.
From battery battery information i found out my wifi keep active.
I think this just happened today because I don't remember seeing this on my phone before. My GPS toggle is off and under settings, I have Access to my location turned off. Although my battery life doesn't seem to have been affected as I'm getting roughly the same battery life as I would do normally.
What daemon-like tool use to log battery status (to get real time of work on battery) in Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal?
I have tried to use battery-stats-collector but it doesn't work: /var/log/battery-stats is empty.

First, here's the constants: I keep wifi/BT/GPS on 100% of the time. This was true when battery life was good, and now that battery life is bad. Disabling these will improve battery life, but will not fix my problem.
When the phone is sleeping overnight, I used to get 8-12% battery usage over about 8 hours.
i have some doubts about
1) I'm way confusing that how can we increse battery life.. by wiping the battery stats in recovery menu.. actually what it will do by wiping battery stats in dat menu.
2) if we wipe battery stats then what it will wipe .bin file..

I'm a recently converted lifelong iPhone user so please be gentle. I couldn't be happier with my new GS3 but i'm concerned about the battery life. It's nothing like my old iP4.

29% screen
28% android system
15% cell standby
rest = various games & apps... no single one more than 9%.
This seems REALLY REALLY poor.

Ever since the Jelly bean update I have been getting terrible battery life. I had all of my settings turned off and my screen down to the lowest setting. After a while I just got sick of not being able to use my phone so I bought an extended battery off of ebay for 12 bucks. Take a look at these screen shots.
