I dropped my SIII Mini from about two feet and when I picked it up, the power, home, menu and back buttons werent working. I pulled the battery and then the power button started working. I turned it back on and my phone was functioning perfectly - except for the bottom buttons. Whenever I accidentally press the home button, my phone heats up really quickly.
So I might be missing a trick, but every one seems to complain about the black bar in curtain apps on a HTC, Surly if the menu button is needed in an app on other android devices them the black bar would still be there, along with the back, home and multitasking buttons?
So all of the sudden, a long press of the home button won't give me the option to restart, or turn off the phone. And now, apps stay open, and won't close with the press of the home button. The only way to close them it to double tap the home button, and swipe them closed that way. Or hit the back button until I get back to the home menu.
My S2 has this annoying habit where it freezes up when unlocking - this happens several times a day now, and seems to be at random (ie. not every time, but I haven't noticed a pattern of anything different between when it freezes and when it doesn't).
When I used windows xp, when I pressed a key with the windows logo, start menu opened and the bottom panel with window buttons appeared no matter what. Even in a fullscreen mode it was possible to click windows button, then Start menu opened and window buttons panel appeared.
is there a way in the terminal to open the home menu?
The home button is the same things as the super key.
I can confirm that the key is not broken.
I am using ccsm -CompizConfig Settings Manager
When I hit the windows button nothing happens.
How do i fix this so that it launches the home menu when i hit the button?
