General Music player not updating songs list after ICS

http://androidforums.com – Hi I have been using Xperia RAY for quite some time now.. When it was on Gingerbread.. If i connected it to my PC as mass storage.. I would delete songs, copy new songs to the "Music" folder..(like we do with pen drives) And after i disconnected from PC..and started the default Music Player on my phone..the music player would automatically detect the changes in the music folder and songs... and Automatically remove deleted song names from the list and add the names of newly copied songs... Now I have updated to ICS... and this simple thing does not happen... Now no matter what i (General)

I can't get any music player to recognise any new songs. I put on some music, default player recognises them. come back a day later, put new songs on, wont recognise them. there all .mp3's , old and new songs. i just drag all songs into sd card main folder, worked until recently. tried installing kies, wont see them.

I have around 9gb of music on my SD card, and as you know the media storage thing takes AGES to scan your SD card everytime you boot, so i installed startup manager to disable it. (so as you know they won't show in the stock media player because they have to be scanned first) Anyways i've tried a lot of the free music players on the app store and most just show around 55 songs (the same songs).

Sorry guys about the lousy title. Im using a galaxy note 2 and the stock music player is really really slow.

I've been playing with CarHome Ultra a bit, and it looks great, except for one thing - the media control buttons don't control either Google Play Music or WinAmp.

So today after college, I decided to sit and organize my music. After a grueling 45 minutes on Mp3tag I accomplished the task only to find that on transferring the songs to my phone, I wasn't able to view them categorically on Play Music.

What's a good music player on Android?

The Samsung music player is decent, but I like viewing by Artist and then by Album, however when viewing by Artist you can't have albums repeat because it's basically one giant list.

This has lead me to search for other music players.

I have the original Samsung Galaxy S 4G from T Mobile, and just recently within the past month or so, I noticed my songs will have skips in them like a CD would. It happens with my Player Pro app, my other music app, and also it skips while listening to Pandora.

I have two questions in one.

I have a very large music database (around 50gb) that I want to port to my phone (galaxy s2 skyrocket with rogers).

I tried first a 64gb micro sdxc class 10 uhs-1 card from sandisk.

I have an issue with the Stock HTC music player. I have downloaded music that is save on both the internal and external SD that plays just fine through the music player. The issue that I have though is that once I delete a song or album, the Music library never updates. It just continues to display the songs that were deleted.
