General Low volume on ringtones and notifications all of a sudden.

http://androidforums.com – Hello all, I am having an issue where just out of the blue, my ringtone and notification volume is a lot lower. I tried pulling the battery, I tried both stock and custom ringtones and they are still low. The volume on the speaker on a call is very loud, so I am not sure whats going on. The weird thing is, this just started to happen out of the blue. If anyone has any info on this problem, let me know. Thanks. (General)

I have my preferred ringtone in /SD Card/Media/Ringtones/song.mp3

I've rebooted and rebooted the phone and used "Media Scanner" from the Play store to refresh the media on the sd card so that the system will recognize they are there. Yet the mp3 in the Ringtones folder does NOT show up in the ringtones list. At one point (when I was rooted) it showed up fine.

My s2 is running ICS stock. When I get a call, the ringtone started on low volume for a couple seconds, then the volume would go back to normal.

anyone experience this?

I've been having a problem recently where I haven't been getting any sound alerts for receiving text messages and I finally figured out why: The notifications volume is tied with media volume, which I usually keep muted when I don't have headphones plugged in. Is there any way to change this?

The battery life is great and I've had no real complications with it up until now, but my ringtone volume is stuck at 0%. Can anyone explain why my custom ringtones play normally when I am choosing which one to use, yet once they are assigned as the ringtone they play as if they are Ascending Ringtones? I see no setting to adjust ringtone style (or I have been overlooking it for 3 days).

When I go to the sound app to check the volume, the adjustment slide for ringtones snf notifications has been set to off position. Every time I check the volume this is turned off and I have missed many incoming calls.This doesn't happen for the slide dealing with music/games and alarms Can't figure out how to fix it.:confused: Very frustrating.Help!
