let me start off by saying i am a noob to this site and android in general , ive learnt a lot from my galaxy s2 .
now i got the s3 , ive rooted it .. however i tried to upgrade to 4.1 awhile back . kept getting error .
anyways i want to upgrade to jellybean im sick of waiting like everyone else.
I recently switched from an iphone4 to a Samsung Galaxy S3 16gb and have been hearing great things about the new update Jelly Bean. I live in Canada and my carrier is TbayTel/Rogers, when can I expect to see this update? a co-worker of mine has a year old Samsung Nexus and he has Jelly Bean on his already.
so I used to have my Samsung galaxy nexus with rogers. However, I upgraded to Samsung s5 and went with telus instead of rogers. Anyways my galaxy nexus is unlocked which means theoretically it should work with any carriers correct? How come when I put my telus sim card in my galaxy nexus it does not get recognized? Is there something else I need to do?
Just wanted to post that it is indeed coming to rogers but not sure if I should pick it up or wait for the Nexus version.. I am disappointed it wont come with 4.1 and I am not sure I like the design...
I was just getting ready for bed and all of a sudden I saw my phone started upgrading it's software. For a second I was thinking Samsung and Verizon had pulled a fast one on us and started releasing jelly bean early. Sigh. If I didn't know jelly bean was being released globally I probably wouldn't even mind. I'm fine with ics.
Canadian carrier Rogers has a late Christmas present for HTC One X owners; the Android Jelly Bean update is rolling out over the air to devices starting today. The update, which checks in at just over 634 MB (definitely use WiFi for this one), should start notifying owners that it’s available for download.
