I have only had this phone for 5 days now and not that much of a talker over the phone but I am completely baffled about the very low battery life on phone calls I was only on the phone for 20 some minutes and it dropped almost 20 percent. I thought this phone was supposed to have a 8 hour battery life of full talk time.
This is hands down the worst phone that I have ever owned in my entire life. There are tons of
1) Biggest problem is definitely the home button. This alone makes the phone totally unusable. Want to use the GPS while driving?
I unlocked my phone, rooted it and installed Fish n Chips ROM.
My phone seems to have very poor battery life. I fully charged it to 100%, unplugged it, played a game for a very short while and I lost 10% battery withint 10-15 mins.
The battery just seems like a time bomb that doesn't last very long at all.
I've only had the phone 2 days now...
So I've searched around, cant find any straight answer. Also only found old, un-maintained threads.
Anyways heres the problem, When I call people most of the time they cant hear me, but I can hear them, This only happens on anything thats not a stock rom, I'd stick with a stock rom, but they seem sluggish, and hog battery life compared to most custom roms w/kernals.
I've seen lots of battery life forums, and most of them show great battery life (over 12 hours) with lots of screen time. I'm not even in an LTE area, but I get very good signal. My screen brightness is at about 30% and I have two e-mail accounts (Exchange push and Gmail sync).

OK. I get decent battery life in wifi. Unplug at 7 am and I'm 50% by 5 PM. However, when I travel it's horrible.
In a 4G area, unplug the phone (100%) at 7 am. By 11 am it's down to 30%. By noon it's shutting down. This is with the phone in my pocket. Totally standby.
In the car, I can plug in the charger and it can't keep up.

I recently bought a slightly used hTc Wildfire S and I dont know whether it is rooted or not ... though i can use in any carrier in my county .
First, here's the constants: I keep wifi/BT/GPS on 100% of the time. This was true when battery life was good, and now that battery life is bad. Disabling these will improve battery life, but will not fix my problem.
When the phone is sleeping overnight, I used to get 8-12% battery usage over about 8 hours.
