Hi! My Thunderbolt does not receive large SMS in either the Handcent App, (I had to download Handcent because the stock texting app on my T-bolt would send my texts to whomever it wanted to and not my intended recipient), or the stock app. It only accepts texts with about 160 characters or less and doesn't split larger texts into 2+ messages.
so i'm a hancent fan... i like the lockscreen pop up messages for new incoming text messages. i usually reply from them as well.
when doing that on the inc4g i've noticed the notification led continues to blink at me like i have an unread message. i'm assuming i can turn off the led notification completely in handcent (i do not want to do that)... or wait for the handcent devs to fix this?
ok i just started using this, and love it,. i set it for my primary sms but now i get 2 notifications one from the stock and one from handcent. how do i just get it from handcent?
I have an HTC Evo and my wife has the Galaxy S II. We are both running Handcent 4.0. Ever since the latest update, she is unable to send texts that are longer than 160 characters, but mine send just fine. I've looked at our settings, and both look identical. Any ideas? Morgan
I love Handcent MMS app but it will not send texts with pics in any Rom I've used since I got my SGS3. I can't figure it out.
Just recently, the Handcent app will be incorrect when showing the timestamp on text messages....its not all the time though...it will be right for a few, then be off a few hours later on.....is there a fix for this, or does the creator need to resolve this?
hey for the last few days when someone is sending me a picture text, I keep seeing it in their pop up text (handcent) but when I open my phone, and go into handcent, that picture disappears from the thread and a new text appears in the notification bar at the top that says something like 'hidden sender address' and when I open it, there is just a small empty chat text bubble there.

I was wondering if anyone knew of any good texting apps?? I used to use handcent but with its new update its slow and ugly and gosms doesnt work for me, when i receive a text it wont vibrate..... the old handcent worked perfect.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S II and my phone provider is Sprint... It was a royal pain that I could not reply to all when I received a text message that was sent out to a group of people... I have found that if you download Handcent you can send/receive and reply to all in group conversation threads. Here's how:
