Build: FROYO.VUVKC1
I have CWM installed already
Trying to upgrade to Gingerbread and possibly flash a ROM.
Please haaaaaaaaaalp!
Hi guys, I need some to know if you've come across a firmware when flashed using LG Flash Tool flashes the original Froyo/Gingerbread bootloader. This will be useful for me now to get my phone working again obviously but will be useful to us in the future incase ICS drop with a major bug. at least we will then have an option of getting back to Gingerbread.
A huge gingerbread man has been put up on the Google campus in Mountain View, Calif., suggesting that Gingerbread, the next release of Android, may be released soon. Past dessert-themed displays have heralded the release of previous versions of Android such as Froyo. There's still a bit of confusion swirling around Gingerbread.
I bought a cell phone manufactured by IVIO and the model is DE-38 its indonesian based company. it orginally comes with FROYO 2.2 and i want to install atleast gingerbread on it , No a single software, application, firmware are availble on manufacturer site, so i need GINGERBREAD 2.3.X firmware for my cell phone.
For starters I have not tried using Thrill Seeker 3.0/3.1 or v21e. I also have not tried CM7, Nightlies, or anything since my transition from Froyo to Gingerbread.
Right now my gripes with Gingerbread are ghost calls and the phone running rather slow at times. However, I do enjoy that I am still able to use the 3D gimmick. As far as the HDMI goes... I've never used it.
My sis ugraded my samsung galaxy tab p1000 to gingerbread 2.3 now my front camera is not the way it used to be. and i dont like it. is there any way to go back to froyo? pleeeasseeee. :(
Yeah , it's crazy but i have to re-patch my mom's galaxy s2 to Gingerbread... My mom is ignorant(She doesn't know much about smartphones) and she's claiming that she doesnt have a good signal.. Soo she wants it back to Gingerbread(it didnt work well in gingerbread too, so idk what's going on).
So my question is..
I have a Galaxy S i-9003
(singapore version) and a few days
ago, i officially upgraded my phone from
v2.2 FROYO to 2.3.5
GINGERBREAD via kies software
now my problem is that when i
keep it for charging overnight, i
wake up in the morning only to
see that my phone has undergone
a factory reset process where ALL
of my data gats deleted and that
to this happens every day!!
Froyo and Gingerbread might be the Windows 98 and XP of the Android world, but Google has not given up on the aging, but still very popular platforms. The latest YouTube app serves up new features and a different UI to devices running older installs. And for good reason, too.
Android’s update scheme often older hardware running older software.
