My sister-in-law has an old school RAZR and my wife has her old Ally that she's not using. Is it possible to flash the Ally to T-Mobile? My wife would like to give her old phone to her sister.
I cant update my ally to 2.2 or above (Im on 2.1-update1). Ive tried everythin and the updater wont find the update and i was just wondering everybody had the files to manually update to 2.2.1 with LGNPST or KP500-Utils-EN(would pefer this one) so i can flash the lastest bionix. Thanks ahead of time.

Okay, this is my first post but i've been a member for a little while. I bricked my first droid (LG VS-780 Ally[?]) and broke my second phone (LG VS-660 Vortex) in frustration when I threw it against th wall. I had a lot of success with the Vortex...not so much with the Ally obviously.
I'll probably be upgrading at the end of the month. Ally has served me well but the battery is getting tired and dying quicker than before and just general wear and tear.
I'll have to see what the total device upgrade + loyalty discount will get me when it kicks in, probably won't have a lot of cash to spend on top of the discounts so I have to see what falls between Free -to- $99.
I'm currently using an old LG Ally, and its age is getting to me. ARMv6 means developers are loathe to support it, 128mb of RAM is a tight fit, Froyo has its myriad limitations, there's no unofficial support for the phone anymore, etc.
Ok so I am running stormdroid 2.0 rom how can i unroot my lg ally? I'm upgrading phones and giving this phone to a friend so how can i unroot it from stormdroid my phones says I'm running 4.0 even though I'm its not.. i think its just part of the rom. anyone help??
I know we've done the "I dropped my phone in water O please help me" side to this with little good luck of working phone after the fact but today one has come to light and lives.
So has I was walking in to work I pulled My 2 year old Ally (rooted, Romed, and ext. battery) from my pocket and BAMMM, dropped it in a sink hole full of water.
My wife and both have android phones with T mobile. My house is in an area where signal strength on the T mobile signal map is the lightest color (weaker). My wife gets much better reception than I do. I can hardly use my phone at home while my wife can talk for hours. We both have LG mytouch phones although my wife's phone is slightly newer mode. How can I improve my reception?
