General First time Android buyer - Rooting question.

http://androidforums.com – I'm a first time Smartphone buyer and looking at our purchasing the Note 2, but have a few questions before I do so.... If I root the Note 2 and/or put a custom ROM on it, will I lose the S-Pen capabilities? If so, am I able to get those features back? Also, have you guys rooted note 2? Do you advise for or against it? I really enjoy using the S-Pen, especially as a substitute for my finger, and just hoping I can retain those capabilities if install a custom ROM. Additionally, the Note 3, is it expected to be announced around the time of MWC or later in the year at IFA? Any Help would be (General)

I couldn't find a Note III forum so I will post it here. :laugh:

When Note III comes out later this year, I am going to switch to it. Problem is, my contract with Note II was for two years, by the time Note III comes out, I am only one year into the contract. I don't know if AT&T will ever allow me to upgrade to Note III and have another two year contract?

It's official, TMobile has cut the galaxy note out. Why? Probably has to do with the fact that the note 2 is around the corner. And I waited all this time for the note to come out on TMobile! Late to the party note, thanks. Although I did get a note and I love it for it's huge display and stylus, there is nothing else impressive about this phone.

I've used Galaxy Note II for about 6 months and just lost it in a festival last night :(

So I use my old Galaxy S II for now. Do you guys think it will be worth to buy a Nexus 4.

Yesterday i bought a SH Galaxy Note, in a minty condition.

Like my S3, i want to put a modern Custom ROM, on it, and install CWM Recovery, but i find hard to gather all the informations. I was searching the internet, and i found that the Galaxy Note, is very vulnerable to soft/hard bricks.

Help me install CWM Recovery Touch and a Jelly Bean based Custom ROM.

How to root note 2 5 weeks 3 days ago

I want to root my Note 2 so I can install custom roms. I previously rooted my Desire HD with the help of these forums so I thought I'd ask here again.

I checked XDA and there are so many mentions of things like triangle away, the flash counter etc. I'm quite confused.

As expected, Samsung just made the Galaxy Note 8.0 official. Although it will be considered a tablet by most, the international version will be able to make phone calls. Just like the Note 10.1, it will include an IR blaster along with the Peel remote software.

Hi, excuse me. I dunno my region Note 2 came from, my Note 2 baseband/ firmware is N7100UBALI9 (the first page setup is Spanish language). Can i rooted any method on NOTE 2 forum ? And can i :confused:flash any custom ROM(such OMEGA,etc...) with properly? What's the different back-up NAND in CWM and back-up EFS?? Should i :confused:changing CSC everytime flashing custom ROMs?
