Is there a program for linux which can show me a list of all duplicate music files in a directory? This will allow me to delete all duplicate files without searching for them manually. The more advanced the better;).
When I download or add music through usb my music app usually shows duplicate albums. When I delete them it comes back or just deletes all the songs and I have to put them back on again why does this happen.
Hi I don't know how they got there but I have a lot of duplicate files in Documents folder, some are ending in , some ~ and some are capitalised. I can use fslint to find duplicate files but it would take a long time to delete each duplicate. Any idea what is causing this? More important how to search for duplicate files recursively and delete them?
I'd be interested in your opinion on finding duplicate files on a Linux system. I've been working with music and photo files trying to purge duplicates. I've tested several programs and have met with good to excellent results, but duplicates still exist. I've also read many web pages that suggest how to remove dupes.
