General Dead SD card

http://androidforums.com – I think the SD card I used in my S3 is dead. Before I buy a new one, does anyone know of anything that might fix it, or at least allow me to recover the data? And assuming it's dead, what type of card do I need. From what I remember when I got this one (dumb thing is less than an year old), was it a class 4? (General)

Hi, I have a SD card that suddenly stopped working. It's not mounted and isn't even seen on a few computers I've tried. In Ubuntu there's no change in the devices in /dev.

Any one have any ideas about how to recover my data from the SD card or even how to wipe it and reformat it?

Hi I have a xperia s.today I rooted the phone with the easy 2 step.when I put clockworkmod on my device it started to go bootloop.I then decided to refresh my device but in the middle of the process the power went off.now I got a dead sd card.any fix for this

External SD card 33 weeks 5 hours ago

Hi,

Just changed my phone because the other one was dead. I have a 16 gig external sd card and if I remember correctly on my other phone I had a folder externalsd or something in the root. Now the only place I see my external sd card is under /mnt. If I use recovery it does not see the external sd card. Am I missing a link or something?

I'm running Kubuntu with KDE as my main desktop environment.

A while ago I set up dead keys so I can type Chinese pinyin and other accented letters and special characters.

As a side note, I use IBUS because it seemed to be easiest to set up my Chinese character IMEs with.
