General Car Mode (not "driving mode") - what does it do?

http://androidforums.com – Hey folks, I've had my S3 for about a month now and I'm really enjoying it. I just got an iBolt car dock for it, and it's raised a few questions. When I put the phone in dock it activates "Car Mode". There's a pop-up in the notifications that shows me in car mode, and says "tap here to exit". What does car mode actually do? Are there settings for car mode that I can access and change somehow? Where might I find them? Please note: I'm referring to "car mode", which only seems to activate while the phone is in the dock. I did a search but may not have chosen the correct keyword so please don't bash if this has been covered before.

I purchased the Vehicle Navigation Dock but when I put the phone in it, the phone stays in normal mode, it does not switch to vehicle mode.

Anyone can help me? My sensation is boot in safe mode and i can't exit from this Mode. How can i do? I've change a lot of rom, i've tried to reboot a lot of time but it appear always "safe mode"!! Only one time i've turned off my phone for 2 days withous the battery and it reboot in normal mode, but now i've reboot it and is in SAFE MODE!!!!

Phone is rooted but stock ROM. I can't get incoming text messages or emails to be read via TTS no matter what I try. I remember it worked a long time ago. I'm using Widget Locker for lock Screen with slider and Nova Launcher and GoSMS Pro for SMS. Checked settings under Accessibility and Google Text-to-speech engine is selected and Driving Mode slider is ON.

I have the HTC Sensation XE and i got the official car dock for it. I love both but there's just one annoying thing I'm not sure if its possible to change.

In case you need to get into Safe Mode on your Evo 3d:

1) Turn off the phone 2) Turn on the phone 3) On the second HTC scree - "HTC quietly brilliant"

hold volume down and menu button until the phone completely boots up

If you have been successful it will saw "SAFE MODE" in the bottom left corner.

Reboot phone to get out of Safe Mode

If I power down my HTC one at night, I have a problem when I turn it on the next day. "Airplane mode" turns on automatically and I cannot get on mobile data. I turn airplane mode "off". When I go to settings it says "airplane mode turning off" but it is not doing anything. I have to reset the phone to fix. Any ideas?
