Alcatel has unveiled three new smartphones named One Touch Idol 2, Idol 2 Mini and Pop Fit.
The Idol 2 features a 5-inch IPS LCD display with 720×1280 pixels resolution and 7.3mm body and is powered by 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8 MP camera, 1.3 MP front camera and supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, GPS and 3G connectivity.
Along with its new line of Evo tablets, Alcatel is dipping its toes into the higher-end Android smartphone market with the introduction of its Idol and Idol Ultra handsets.
The company is touting its One Touch Idol Ultra as the thinnest smartphone currently on the market, measuring in at just 6.45mm thick. It also sports a 4.7-inch OLED HD display and an 8-megapixel camera.
TCL Corporation, parent company of Alcatel, announced a few days ago that they were preparing a successor to their Idol X device tentatively named the Idol X+. Based on the MediaTek logo spotted in some images that leaked online, the device is expected to come with MediaTek’s latest high-end octa-core processer.
Right on the heels of its last leak comes new images of the Idol X+ from TCL (Alcatel). In the image above, you can see clearly there is dual SIM support due to the “SIM 2″ slot. According to GSM Insider, the Idol X+ has “a front-facing camera together with light sensor to trace the brightness.
Hello, first post here :) I've got an alcatel OT idol mini but it doesn't has the 3G band frequency enabled for my carrier (I got the phone from another carrier). I was trying to get into the service menu of the android phone with a secret code, but after I entered it, nothing happened... any ideas?
