Sooo the time has finally come where I have enough money to move on from my Triumph. Probably going with this phone unless, there is something coming out soon? Shall I wait? (not for an iphones but an android)
Anyways, if I do end up getting this i'd like to know a few things.
How much better is the "qHD" screen than the triumph?
Does it have deeper blacks?
And its actually not bad at all. Don't know why it would be, since it has a 1ghz processor like the LG Esteem, and running on 4g. She had a Samsung Admire, and shes happy, especially since the speed difference is noticeable. The only thing that makes it seem slow, is the screen size. If that makes any sense.
Hello dear Community,until recently I've been running CB Statler r20110207 on my lil Acer Netbook. I found that release a lot more stable on my Netbook than the R20111125 release (haven't tried the latest from 8th of feb). So a week ago, I made a apt-get update && upgrade . Ever since then, my netbook won't boot properly, I get a black screen instead of the login screen.
So, I tried to update my Captivate to Gingerbread via Kies to prep it for CM10, and it hung on the 'Firmware Upgrade' Eventually, I pulled the plug and tried the 'Emergency Recovery' That ended up hanging too.

Finally received my brand new shiny deep grey 32gb note 10.1 in the mail today after about a week of waiting to find the bottom 1/4 of the screen black when I turn it on the first time. Reboot and the black turns into a rainbow of lines. fml. Back to Costco it goes. My first tablet purchase makes me wonder if I should still get a tablet lol.
I wanted to uninstall Google maps because I read here that it causes wakelocks even when frozen. Sure enough after freezing I'm getting a periodic "unfortunately maps has stopped." I know there's plenty of alternatives to maps and probably latitude too, my question is if Google now would still completely function if I uninstalled maps and replaced it with a third party app.
I'm trying to use an 11.10 Live Cd to try out Ubuntu, but an error's preventing me from doing so. Whenever there's activity on the screen (move the mouse, click, etc.) the screen goes completely back for about 3 seconds or flickers. I can't even get the drivers for my monitor (which is an Acer x223w) off of my USB stick, which I thought might help.
my s3 screen flickers when I play games and the games auto pauses. I have experienced this with almost all the games I have installed especially temple run 2. screen goes black just when I start running in temple run and takes me back to game pause menu. what could be the cause of this auto pause in all game? please help as I cant play any game right now on my phone.
