First off, yes I realize that complaints about the Skyrocket battery are very common, and coming from a Nexus One I'm no stranger to the nightly charging, but I feel like my phone may have a real issue with proper battery management. For example, I'm looking at my phone now. It's been on for 4hrs 43 mins and is down to 73%. Screen is 61% usage and then the typical other stuff below it.
I've seen lots of battery life forums, and most of them show great battery life (over 12 hours) with lots of screen time. I'm not even in an LTE area, but I get very good signal. My screen brightness is at about 30% and I have two e-mail accounts (Exchange push and Gmail sync).
Hello all,
Most likely going to purchase a new phone tomorrow, either a Gnex or a Maxx. Love the Gnex, but the battery life scares me. A guy I know claims to make it from 7am to 5pm on a charge, and to me that's just not good enough. Anyone here use the extended battery, and can give a non-root user an idea of the life in hours during an average day?
First, here's the constants: I keep wifi/BT/GPS on 100% of the time. This was true when battery life was good, and now that battery life is bad. Disabling these will improve battery life, but will not fix my problem.
When the phone is sleeping overnight, I used to get 8-12% battery usage over about 8 hours.
Currently the phone is $130 something on Boost's website- it's black friday, I wanted to buy my mother a new phone. Her birthday is coming up, and what better way to have her leave her crappy basic phone ?
Now I do have on primary concern, battery life. With a ROM installed. Is battery life ever an issue ?
Hello all,
Ever since the Jelly bean update I have been getting terrible battery life. I had all of my settings turned off and my screen down to the lowest setting. After a while I just got sick of not being able to use my phone so I bought an extended battery off of ebay for 12 bucks. Take a look at these screen shots.
Folks --
I am a happy Android user and have an HTC Desire Z. A family member has a basic Nokia texting phone (Nokia C3) and I would like to get her an Android phone so that she can have her Google e-mail and calendar on-the-go. I will buy the phone second-hand / unlocked.
I know we have a lot of battery life threads and I absolutely love this phone but mine is not getting good battery life. I'm an advanced android user, I know it well and I do know that some devices just have bugs which kill battery life.
I wanted to get this phone as a replacement to my Nokia N8.
Having been loyal to Nokia over the years, I'm used to absolutely excellent battery life, where I get a good 2 days of normal use, or easily get through 1 day of heavy use.
Would the Galaxy Nexus be a really bad step down ?
