Hi everyone, I just got my SGII and I really like it. I'm running CM10 right now.
Previously I had the Motorola Triumph, running CM9. I noitced that scrolling in general is...slower in the SGII. Like there's a noticeable lag when I begin to scroll through something, like a browser or my contact list.
Kinetic scrolling is very important for developing mobile applications with Qt and I noticed that it’s not smooth on the devices ( tried with android device and iphone ) . It looks a bit choppy and jumping as it looks from one position to the next one. This is visible especially when trying to scroll slow with the finger.
I'm a recent Ubuntu convert from the Windows side and my preferred browser is Opera 12. The problem I've come across is that the mouse wheel scrolling is agonizingly slow on my system, both with Opera's smooth scrolling feature turned off and on. Is there anyway to get the scrolling back to the buttery smoothness I'm used to on my Windows install?
Well, this behaviour was always there for me. When scrolling fast and then releasing the touchpad scrolling would quickly decelerate. Now it decelerates really slowly... And not only with two finger scrolling but with scrolling at the edge of the touchpad too. That's a buggy default behaviour for me too.
I run 11.10 with unity, NVidia Quadro NVS 140M with driver 280.13.
In a fresh session, graphics performance is ok. However, after a while or with some open applications, 2D-scrolling performance degrades heavily. Scrolling through a 800-line text file takes half a minute, with frequent freezes in the process, rendering any text editing mostly unusable for me.
This phone is fast, no doubt about it. But my biggest pet peeve is scrolling smoothness. My galaxy nexus was smoother :(
I am wondering if anybody knows how to get rid of the scrolling stutter (most apparent on FLICKING to scroll) that can be seen while navigating the UI, or settings for example. Try slowly flicking to scroll through any list, and it will be there. Solutions?
