The iPhone 5 was supposed to be a flop. Consumers were supposed to be disgusted with the lack of innovation. No one was supposed to buy it. That is, of course, if you listened to the buzz during last week’s launch. The opposite turned out to be the truth.
Apple announced the iPhone 5′s first weekend sales this morning and they are stellar. The best ever.
While many anxious Nexus 4 customers patiently wait for their backordered handsets, it appears as though Google and LG have managed to ready another batch smartphones which are due to ship out sometime this week.
Users are now reporting that the above email is hitting their inboxes in waves, notifying them that their precious LG-manufactured Nexus 4s are ready to be sent out this week.
As the summer presses onward, so do we. A massive Apple patent surfaced this week, giving us our most detailed look yet at the company’s focus for the much-rumored iWatch. And speaking of Apple, the company recently released an interesting commercial showing off MacBook Air notebooks covered in stickers.
In general, the anticipations of analysts are things you can safely ignore, but a new report from KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo (via 9to5Mac) is worth a look, especially given his track record of successfully predicting Apple’s product roadmap – and according to Kuo, there’s a lot in store for us next week at Apple’s special event, including a new iPad.
