I updated to JB today and i saw at once that the cygic i had installed in SD card, was no longer visible in /sdcard/external_sd , nor some other stuff i had in my sd card..
It's driving me nuts. I am using vignette as my camera app (good app).
Can someone please tell me the difference between /mnt/sdcard/external_sd/dcim/camera and
/sdcard/external_sd/dcim/camera
Those are the 2 locations it's saving to. No rhyme or reason to it either. It irritates me because there are 2 folders in my gallery too.
I have a SD card installed in my i9500. As you know, i9500 has 16GB built-in RAM, and I found that /sdcard (also /mnt/sdcard) is mounted to internal storage(seems /storage/sdcard0), external SD card is located in /storage/extSdCard ( /mnt/sdcard mounted to here). But some old apps don't support customizing download destination, and most downloaded files went to the internal storage.
This guide is for moving your REAL sdcard to the location /mnt/sdcard (as GOD INTENDED ;))
This is VERSION 2 of this guide, using a new method. This method allows for the sdcard to be relocated earlier in the boot process, thereby avoiding many glitches that occur due to late binding.
Sorry if this question has been asked before. Why does the GS3 just automatically save every download to phone stoage. When I go to "my files" it shows extsdcard and Sdcard which is the phone storage I guess? When I download wallpapers from Zedge, or pics from the internet, they aren't being saved on my sd card that I put in the phone. Why is that? Can I change that?
I would like to search for regex in the exif data of a large collection of files (mostly jpg, some nef). For instance "grep_exif Tokyo *.jpg" should return the file names of all files which have "Tokyo" in their exif data.
Exiftool could be used to extract the data.
Before I pulled the plug on my EVO 3D, I diligently backed up my data from several apps that I use on a regular basis. I backed up to my SD card and just assumed that once I inserted the SD card into the S4, it would be as simple as using the various apps restore command. For some reason, the apps are not able to locate the data files on the SD card.
Hi android whizzes,
This is my first post. Got a galaxy note recently and i am totally new to android. :)
I am a game freak and u know the rest about what wud have happened to my internal user memory (11.07 GB). Its almost full now. I gotta external Micro SD (16 gb).
I am looking for some guidance and assistance in the following matter.
Did a standard over the air update to JB and from what I can see I lost all my user data from my internal storage.
All my custom directory are gone, DCIM empty.
Been out of the country, not that it matters where I was, and the standard HTC One X device prompted me of a system update.
