Here you have it. Seems it is not the fault of the mirror in first place. It even talks about CrunchBang and other Debian derivatives prone to that error messages mainly. IMO I do not get it quite right. Using the classical mirrors here on Sid is never giving me that problem, maybe just switch to another international ftp mirror if you see that happening too often. I have switched to unix from last 3 months and trying to understand install process and in particular apt-get.
I am able to successfully install and download the packages when I configure my repository on http location in /etc/apt/sources.list file.
