http://androidforums.com – I have a Samsung Galaxy W phone on which I have problems connecting to ONE specific wifi network. The phone is running Android 2.3.5 (Gingerbread). The wifi network in question is a shared connection on a Windows 7 64-bit computer. This worked nicely for a while, until I suddenly managed to select "forget network" on the phone by mistake. After that, the network never shows up on the phone (under the normal WiFi tab OR with any app that can find wifi networks). Not even when I add the WiFi network manually does it work - then it just says "Not in range". To be completely (General)

Hello,

I have a Samsung Galaxy Gio S5660 with a Wifi problem. When I connect to my home, school, girlfriend's Wifi it works fine! When I leave the connection with Wifi (just because I go to school of to a Bar..) and I'm going back to my home, school of girlfriend, Wifi is not connecting to the router.

So I'm running android 4.0.3, And I wasn't having any issues when I flashed the rom.

Another noob question;

The N4 connects to my home network just fine.

But, how does the phone determine which network (wifi or mobile) it uses when moving data? I looked for somewhere to set the order of priority (use wifi first, then mobile) but couldn't find it.

I assume that the N4 uses wifi first, if available, then the mobile network if wifi isn't available.

I have the SGII from the UK and now using it in America. The phone recently randomly says "insert SIM for network access" or something to that effect. Ill be in my basement on wifi, and then go upstairs and leave, turning off wifi, and it says that there is no network connection. I restart the phone and it is fine.

I have been using 12.04 on my Toshiba satellite L750 for about 2 months now, and I have a very peculiar issue. My WiFi network will not connect to my Home WiFi, no matter how many different fixes I tried from the threads in this forum. The strange part is that the WiFi connects to other networks - At my university, Workplace etc. - EXCEPT for the 2 networks at my Home.

I just bought a new Galaxy Nexus (moved on from Iphone 3gs) and am having trouble connecting to the wifi network at my work place. I have tried connecting to the same network withvarious other phones which include Iphone 3gs, Galaxy Note, GS3 and the GS2 and no problems.

I'm need to use my laptop (with lubuntu 12.04) as a WiFi hotspot.

I created the wifi hotspot via "Create new wireless network" from the network connections menu.

The hotspot comes up and then disconnects. I can see this on my Android phone and tablet.

i just observed a real and bad bug. when i create a new wifi network with the protection 801.x EAP with phase 1 PEAP, android in not able to save the phase 2 authentication.
