Galaxy SII, GT-19100, If you reach your thread limit and all the messages are locked does a new thread start or does it delete out the old thread messages by default?
I've had my Samsung Galaxy S3 for approx 6 months now, and it has become laggy throughout the Text message app.
I've been looking around elsewhere, and I've (now) set my limit to 500 messages per thread, however I have threads which I haven't cleared since I started, and some people I send upto 20-30 messages a day, everyday, so you can imagine how many messages I have in some threa
My girlfriend is having an issue where she has a text message thread of over 6000 text messages, but she just tried deleting the thread and it froze her messaging app and proceeded to crash it. Whenever she tries to do that the same thing happens. She's completely stock and she tried installing Handcent and GoSMS to delete but still no go. She's tried clearing data and cache also but no luck.
I have max 525 text messages in several threads. It takes at least an hour or more to delete one thread, and sometimes will not complete the delete. While it is deleting a thread I cannot send or receive texts. Is there a faster way to delete without clearing the data and cache?
I was going through some old text messages one day and decided to delete the whole thread (1000 plus msgs). While in the middle of looking at the old messages, I deleted the thread without going back to the most recent message. Now every time I text this person and get a reply, my reply box is pre-populated with the last old/deleted text that I had last looked at/deleted.
One of my SMS threads with someone has gotten so long (a LOT of messages over a year or so) that it's slowed right down and takes about 10 seconds to load up initially, and then trying to reply is all jumpy & slow, it basically seems to have slowed right down to be unusable. I'm assuming the thread has gotten too long and it's juggling it around in memory.
Hello everyone! I am using an HTC currently running Android 4.4.2 however the issue first happened on an earlier version (not sure which).
Ok so a while ago I selected a SMS text message and went to either delete or lock it but somehow I hit the wrong option or it glitched but ALL of my text messages sent/received before a certain date were locked.
