This is a portable reading device for text and pdf files. Sort of like a Kindle. It has internal memory and also takes a 2gb sd card. Just plug it in and your file manager reads it as 2 drives. Just drag and drop files. Tested under Ubuntu 9.10/Gnome/3...
I just ordered a Lenovo Idea Pad S2109. I wanted a 9.7 inch screen with 4:3 aspect ratio so I can read PDFs. For reading I don't much like the 16:9 aspect ratio devices. It has 16GB with an SD slot. Have never owned a tablet before, nor have I ever owned an Android device. I was hoping to find some sort of eInk device in that size, but there are only a few and they're kind of clunky.
Hello all!
I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.1 inch running on Ice Cream Sandwich version 4. As the Adobe PDF Reader app allows for editing PDFs (highlighting and such), I decided to take the opportunity to use my Galaxy Tab for reading textbooks. However my biggest problem is getting the Adobe Reader app to actually let me edit.
I use mantano reader premium on an Asus TF101.
I also edit my metadata in Calibre.
My problem is the following: I will edit my metadata in Calibre and it register in Mantano reader.
Does anyone have any solutions?
Hi everybody - so happy to have found this forum. And hoping you can advise me.
I've borrowed a Nook HD for inspection and finding it oh-so closed down.
I am trying to install the Nook reader on my PE, which I rarely use for anything except taking notes and the occasional web browse/email, but we are going on a trip and I want to stockpile some reading material.
I've forgotten how an app should download. The Nook said it would install shortly, and then it said it did install but - where should it show up? I don't see it anywhere.
Need some advice.
I currently have a Nook Color, rooted to CM7 on sdcard. I don't use it much other than to read because it is too slow.
My requirements:
Cost - $299 or less
Apps: Andriod Market or Amazon (must have apps: Kindle, B&N, Moon+Reader, Adilko)
Storage: ability to sideload my epub books so I can read them with Moon+reader; 8MB at least
Processor: 1GB??
Using OPDS to import PDF format magazine from Calibre catalogs gives me a corrupt file that Moon and Adobe reader said is corrupt on my Android device. Web browsing to the library and 'get' the magazine into Moon + works. Problem solved.
I am enjoying the SGP5! Audiobooks are GREAT with MORT Player and I am starting to use Moon+ Pro reader. I will load up my 32GB mSD card with lots of books.
I thought that perhaps the best way is to just organize them into Genres/Author folders on my removable mSD card under "ebooks". Then open the file with whatever player (Kindle for mobi, Moon+ for epub). Is this a good idea?
