Gabe Newell has once again trashed Windows 8 saying users will probably 'rage quit' computing after using Windows 8.

Steam Linux Beta is now live with first set of beta invitation emails sent to 1,000 users.
"This is a huge milestone in the development of PC gaming. Steam users have been asking us to support gaming on Linux.
Steam Linux limited beta is already out and around 6,000 users have been able to participate in it.
Those who didn't get invitation for the beta program, can still have access to the client using a small hack. Check out our guide from here.
Some users expressed concern that Steam may take action against such unauthorized access.

Steam has revealed 13 new game titles to advance through Steam Greenlight project. These games will be soon offered worldwide distribution via Steam client.
Out of these 13 games, 5 fully support Linux, taking the tally of all Greenlit Linux games to 9.
Steam Linux Beta and L4D2 game will most likely come to Linux next month.
In a recent post on Left 4 Dead 2 blog, Valve announced that Steam Workshop is coming to Left 4 Dead 2 along with Linux support.
All of this will also be available not just on the PC and Mac, but also for Linux users as well starting in the middle of next month and rolling out from there.
