Fuzzy screen on startup

http://unix.stackexchange.com – I recently started getting a fuzzy screen on start up. The best way to describe it is to say the screen looks like it has a H-Scroll problem - fuzzy horizontal lines. The mouse pointer is stable however. My current work around is to log out and back in, then I get a nice stable login screen (difficult to do since you are clicking on menu items you cannot see properly). I´m looking for a permanent fix. (HowTos)

When i boot up i get a fuzzy screen and lots of text to do with the boot up and shutdown when loaded and on desktop it is fine how can i fix the fuzzy screen on bootup

Also when i try to play some games eg 3d chess it just showed a blurred image and i cant do anything

I can successfully connect to my bt5 with vnc. eg. myip:1 However the bottom of the vnc window, where all the minimized programs , clock etc is fuzzy or not showing very clearly. (as best I can describe it.) I have tried a variety of methods for setting up vnc and this seems to work accept for the fuzzy bar.

When I minimize a terminal window I cant seem to open it.

@tistaI think you misunderstand my problem.The boot process is just fine. As soon as it loads the module it switches to native resolution and the screen is perfectly sharp. Then i get the login prompt. No matter what i do at this point, after like 10-15 seconds the screen becomes fuzzy and flickery. The pixels kind of jitter around very quickly.

Question My Motorola Photon 4g.. The screen seems to be fuzzy..the pixels look like they are just vanishing Its rooted and Flashed to metropcs

Also it started when i got error Gaap something along those lines if anyone can point me in the correction direction it would be greatly appreciated

So, I have Ubuntu 11.10 dual booting on my computer. Everything seems to be working fine, except when I come back from suspend, the screen is black and my mouse pointer is displayed. It occasionally changes to a cursor, if I move the mouse around.

I've got a Samsung NC20 netbook, which shipped with Windows XP as standard. I created a Ubuntu USB start-up key, and proceeded to install Ubuntu on this netbook.

I installed 12.04 using WUBI on a working W7 64bit system.

both KB and mouse work perfect during the BIOS boot, and on the bootmgr, I can select Windows 7 or Ubuntu to load.

Once I select Ubuntu, the KB and mouse seem to loose their power (light on the mouse and Numlock leds go off) After couple of seconds, the screen gets blurry.

I have a weird problem. There are around 16 little black horizontal lines on the top of my screen. They are also constantly flashing..

I just freshly installed ubuntu 12.10 x64 next to my win8x64 install.

Hi guys!I have a problem! Yesterday I ran an upgrade and now when I turn the pc on, at the point where gdm is started the screen is full of white-grey horizontal lines and the mouse pointer is a big grey square. I can't use my crunchbang and to solve this I have to stop gdm from a tty and the restart it. This is evidently annoying and wrong: what could be the problem?
