Hi,Our filesystem check on servers took an agonizing 90 mins to finish. Its a 2TB san partition and fsck was due since we reached 189 days.My question is...Where does fsck ... [by sidharth]
It seems there is some problem with my HDD in my satellite box. The box records to and plays video from the HDD, but occasionally it hangs (it was stable before). It's Linux version 126.96.36.199_stm24_0207, ext3 filesystem.
I wanted to check the filesystem using fsc.ext3 to be sure it's ok.
Whether fsck is being run depends on a number of factors. In /etc/fstab, if the last number of a filesystem entry is >0, the file system will be considered by fsck for checking. The rootfs should get 1, all other file systems should have 2.
