When my phone's lying flat on a table, it's easier to turn it on by pressing the home button rather than position my hand to squeeze the power button. When I'd switch on my Note 1, S2, and S3 this way, they'd wake up to the last used app screen, which is not necessarily a home screen. The Note 2, however, always returns to the main home screen.
The power button on my phone doesn't do anything. It was fine, then a minute later, it just stopped working. The button is fully intact, and presses in and everything. It just doesn't lock/unlock the screen, and I can't use it to turn the phone on or off. It simply doesn't register the button press. Does anyone know of a way to fix this?
Hi all,
My S2 has this annoying habit where it freezes up when unlocking - this happens several times a day now, and seems to be at random (ie. not every time, but I haven't noticed a pattern of anything different between when it freezes and when it doesn't).
Been noticing it on all variants of JB ROM: rasbean jelly, AOSP, OTA. When you lock the screen and expect it to turn off, it goes blank then flashes on just a sec before finally turning off for good. It doesn't matter how you lock it: could be using your power button, screen off and lock app, or the sleep button in notification widgets.
I'm running Ubuntu 12.04, and my laptop* won't wake from sleep/suspend/hibernate. (Is sleep the same thing as suspend?) I'm not even sure which of these things it's doing. When I am done working for the day, I lock my screen (Control-Alt-L).
So I bought a used Nexus 7 16 gb from a friend and it was in great working condition. I accidentally got some water on it ( it was not fully submerged, but got pretty wet). I was at work so it was hard to take immediate attention and I don't have the skill to take one apart to let components dry properly.
i have own samsung galaxy y pro duos GT B5512 and question is that could anybudy tell me about is there any other way to unlock the device without pressing power (when screen goes off) button, i mean to say like samsung galaxy y s5360 where we can press home button to stay screen on? If after rooting device is it possible please tell me.
My idea behind asking this Q.
Hey, so my power button has recently become unresponsive. It has gradually gone "into" the phone, causing it harder to press but it has not jammed. Would this be a fixable problem or would I have to take it into a HTC store and have them look at it?
I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing an unresponsive touch screen when trying to turn on the phone while there is a finger resting on the screen. Many times I am grabbing the phone out of my pocket with one hand and use my index finger to press the power while having my thumb resting on the screen itself.
